エネルギーに関する諸問題は、我々の生活に大きな影響を及ぼしています。例えば、カーボンニュートラル社会の 実現を目指すことが法制化され、再生可能エネルギーの大幅な増加と共に、化石燃料、原子力のみならず、蓄電池、 水素、二酸化炭素CO2）の森林吸収など広範な領域にまたがる学問が必要となっています。また、エネルギー問題を突き詰めると、技術、法制度、経済制度のみならず、根本的には哲学や社会倫理につながっています。
すなわち、理系、文系の枠組みを超えたユニバーシティの全領域にまたがる課題とし、エネルギー問題を捉える 必要があります。こうした観点から、エネルギー総合学連携研究機構では、ユニバーシティの総合的な連携を図り、 エネルギー総合学の学理を創成し、世界最先端の研究、教育、社会連携を進めて参ります。

In response to strong demands regarding energy issues, we will aim to create by integrating liberal arts and natural science, and solutions will be developed and implemented to realize a safe, secure and affluent carbon neutral society.
